Summary[]
A thirteen-year-old girl named Laurie visits the Ropers after her parents, family friends of the Ropers, get a divorce. The Ropers try to entertain and cheer Laurie up, but to no avail. Therefore, she takes Laurie to visit the kids. Janet and Chrissy don't get through with Laurie; however, when she meets Jack, Laurie falls head over heels for him. Janet and Chrissy angrily blame Jack for sending them on a wild goose chase to a nonexistent party, never dreaming that it is Laurie who wants them out of the way so she can have Jack all to herself.
