Paul Wayne (born Haskell Dwayne Gray, 3 November 1940) wrote or co-wrote the teleplay and/or story of 18 episodes of Three's Company from Seasons 1 through 7 (he also served as a story consultant for 54 episodes of the series), as well as the Three's a Crowd episode "Deeds of Trust".
Throughout his career in television, Paul, in addition to his work on Three's Company and Three's a Crowd, has written episodes for such popular TV sitcoms as That Girl, The Flying Nun, All in the Family, Welcome Back Kotter, Sanford and Son, and Benson. He also served as staff writer for two popular 1970s variety shows, CBS-TV's The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour.
