After the roommates withdrew his entire savings a day earlier to help fund the renovation, he had little more than five dollars left in it. He is turned down for the loan after attempting ask her for a date! He returns home to find that the girls have already ordered the materials and spent his life savings. Nevertheless, the work on the restaurant begins when the roommates are able to get Furley to lend him the remaining money Jack needed to pay the first months rent, which was about $800, which shut up Angelino, who was, at first browbeating Jack, who didn't have money needed, and also to Furley's unwelcomed shock when he learned the amount that Angelino made the check he endorsed for him for the restaurant.
