Michelle Alaine "Shell" Kepler (5 October 1958 - 1 February 2008) was an American actress. She is best known for her work on ABC-TV's General Hospital daytime soap opera series as "Nurse Amy Vining", from 1979 until 2002.
She played Luanne on the Season 5 episode "Honest Jack Tripper" and Didi on the Season 6 opening episodes "Jack Bares All: Part 1" and "Jack Bares All: Part 2".
Career[]
Kepler portrayed busybody nurse Amy Vining, a "fan favorite" and sister of Laura Spencer's, on General Hospital, from 1979 to 2002.[1] She also appeared on the General Hospital spinoff Port Charles, other shows such as CHiPs and Three's Company, and the movie Homework (1982) with Joan Collins.[1]
Death[]
Kepler died from renal failure at Oregon Health & Science University.[2] The 26 February 2008 episode of General Hospital was dedicated to her, "In loving memory".[3][4]
