Dying to Meet You is the twentieth episode of Season 5 of Three's Company, and the 98th overall episode of the series. Written by Budd Grossman and directed by Dave Powers, it first aired 5 May 1981 on ABC.
Summary[]
When Jack and Larry can't help but cast a roving eye at April, an attractive Regal Beagle patron, her insanely jealous boyfriend Max (Terry Kiser) makes it clear that she is off limits. When Jack and Larry gossip behind Max's back, he overhears them and tries to set them straight. When Max steps away for a few minutes, Jack advises April to tell Max to control his temper. Later, after hearing this, Max becomes furious and begins stalking Jack, threatening his life.
Later, to Jack's horror, April appears on his doorstep with Max in hot pursuit. As April's attentions to Jack further infuriate Max, he threatens to take Tripper permanently out of the picture. Jack has become a terrified prisoner in his own apartment when Larry suggests a gravely uproarious solution.
